Just off of Studio Drive, South of Cayucos, California, lies a quiet place to view the morning mist coming off the Pacific. It's also a great place to capture the subtly patterns of color as new light tries to burn through. Wednesday, September 26, 2012
Happy Cows in Harmony, California

11” x 14” Oil on canvas panel
$500 - Please contact me if interested in acquiring.
Wednesday September 26, 2012 at Harmony, California. At the Elizabeth Tolley workshop, painting a delightful farm and happy moo’n cows. Cloudy cool morning, but the sun and warm breezes warmed us all up nicely by 11:00. After completing, I set this painting up along one of those telephone poles – further down the line - neighbors, and of course a breeze came, stirring up some loose straw, and found their way onto the wet oil paint. Long since dry, I haven’t wanted to wipe the straw off, it’s kind of endearing and a good lesson learned to not set your paintings down on the grass when still wet.

This is actually a tangerine, however some folks say it could be a pear. I found this at our local Valley Produce store and was intrigued by the stem and fresh green leaf still attached.
